The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has issued visa application guidelines once again, detailing the requirements and procedures for different visa categories.
The updated instructions apply to visit, tourist, and family visas, which must be applied for online, while employment visas follow a separate process. After applying for a visa, a summons notification will be sent to the applicant, who should carry proof of visa application documents.
Visa Processing Fee & Payment Procedure
According to the UAE Embassy spokesperson, the visa processing fee is $69 per applicant. This amount must be deposited in a designated bank account, and applicants must present the original receipt of the collected visa fee when visiting the embassy or visa center.
Required Documents for Visa Application
- Applicants must provide the following documents for visa processing:
A certified six-month bank statement (of the applicant, parents, or sponsor) with a minimum balance of $5,000 or its equivalent. - Proof of accommodation, such as a hotel booking, house ownership document, or an invitation from a friend or relative.
- A confirmed return air ticket.
- An original national identity card or passport, which must be valid for at least six months.
- Visa processing for children
The UAE Embassy spokesperson also provided guidelines for visa applications for minors:
- Children under 5 years old do not need to visit the visa center. A photograph of the child must be submitted instead.
- Children aged 6 to 15 years must have their photo taken at the visa center.
- Children aged 15 years and above must be physically present at the visa center and go through the full visa process, including biometric verification, similar to adult applicants.
Visa Processing & Biometric Verification
For applicants aged 5 years and above, biometric data collection and visa processing will take place at the UAE visa center. Once the visa application is submitted, the applicant will receive a summons notification.
The UAE Embassy has advised all applicants to adhere strictly to the updated requirements to ensure a smooth and hassle-free visa processing experience.
