Google is preparing for its annual developer gathering, Google I/O 2024, slated to begin imminently. The event is anticipated to feature discussions on Android 15, alongside the debut of an updated version of the Chromecast with Google TV dongle.
The Pixel 8a was recently unveiled by the corporation, with the Pixel 9 series expected to make its debut sometime in October. However, well in advance of its official unveiling, all three devices belonging to the Pixel 9 lineup have surfaced in a disclosure, presenting the devices in full splendor.
The collection of live visuals was revealed by Rozetked (Russian), showcasing an entire collection of live visuals of the Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The leaked visuals also compare the dimensions of all three Pixel 9 phones with those of the iPhone 15 lineup.
According to the visuals, the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro boast dimensions similar to the iPhone 15 Pro. Conversely, their elder counterpart, the Pixel 9 Pro XL, approaches the dimensions of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Beyond dimensions, the leaked visuals of the Google Pixel 9 series also exhibit the new camera arrangement that the phones will incorporate.
The fresh camera arrangement takes on a rounded-rectangular form, departing from the bar structure that extends from edge to edge on the rear of the phone. Additionally, the Pixel 9 series now showcases distinct rounded edges. The leaked visuals also underscore the disparities between the standard and Pro versions of the Pixel 9 phones.
The standard Pixel 9 features a lustrous rear panel and a dual-camera configuration on the back, while the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL sport a matte rear panel housing a triple-camera setup. The leaker also divulged the specifications of the complete Pixel 9 lineup.
According to the disclosure, the Google Pixel 9 purportedly boasts 12GB of RAM, whereas the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL are rumored to offer 16GB of RAM. The minimum storage capacity across all three Pixel 9 devices will commence at 128GB. Additionally, the Pixel 9 presents a 6.24-inch 120Hz AMOLED display devoid of UWB (Ultra Wideband) support.
Reportedly, the Pixel 9 Pro will feature a 6.34-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with UWB support. All three cameras on the Pixel 9 Pro are slated to be 50MP, encompassing the 0.5x ultrawide and 5x periscope lenses. The Pixel 9 Pro XL mirrors the camera configuration of the Pixel 9 Pro and features a 6.73-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with UWB support. Powering the entire Pixel 9 series will be the in-house Google Tensor G4 chipset.
