Islamabad District and Sessions Court Judge Shahrukh Arjumand adjourned the hearing of the high-profile Iddat Nikah case involving the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Bushra Bibi.
Rizwan Abbasi representing the petitioner Khawar Manika could not complete his arguments during today's proceedings.
Rizwan Abbasi highlighted previous complaint filed by Muhammad Hanif regarding the Nikah during Bushra Bibi's Iddat period.
Hanif withdrew the complaint on technical grounds before any charges were imposed.
Abbasi further argued that Khawar Manika had intentions to reunite with his former wife, Bushra Bibi, and that the marriage to the PTI founder took place prematurely during the Iddat period following her divorce.
During the hearing, Judge inquired about the duration Abbasi would need to conclude his arguments.
Abbasi requested an additional hour but indicated his unavailability for the next day, suggesting the court proceed with the arguments of the other side in his absence.
The court adjourned the hearing until the next morning.
Bushra Bibi's lawyer, Usman Riaz Gul, and the PTI founder's lawyer, Salman Akram Raja, were present in court.
Salman Akram Raja is scheduled to present his arguments on Wednesday.
