The special court of the Official Secrets Act extended PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s judicial remand in the cipher case till October 10.
Special court judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain reached the Attock Jail to hear the cipher case against Imran Khan. Strict security measures were taken outside the jail premises.
Police allowed Imran Khan’s lawyer Barrister Salman Safdar and Umair Niazi to attend the hearing, while the remaining eight lawyers were stopped at the checkpost.
A team of the FIA was also present during the hearing.
The FIA team was ordered to submit an investigation report in the case soon.
On the other hand, the Official Secrets Act of Islamabad also extended the judicial remand of PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi till October 10.
The remand was extended by Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain of the special court.

Qureshi was presented in the Islamabad court on the completion of his remand. The court staff marked the former minister’s presence.
The Islamabad High Court had on Monday directed to shift PTI Chairman Imran Khan from Attock to Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq had remarked that it was clear the former prime minister deserved a better class in jail. His rights should not be violated.
The high court was hearing the case of shifting Imran Khan from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail.
The chief justice commented that according to the law, an under-trial prisoner of Islamabad should be held in Adiala Jail. He asked why an under-trial prisoner was kept in Attock Jail and not Adiala.
He added that Imran Khan was kept in Attock Jail in the Toshakhana criminal case in which his sentence has been suspended.
Later in the day, Imran Khan's lawyer claimed he was shifted to Adiala Jail.
Sher Afzal Marwat posted on his X account that the PTI chief had been placed in a room with attached bath and other facilities, as admissible under the prison rules for a former prime minister.
