Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi called on Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zedong on Sunday.

Addressing concerns over the safety of Chinese engineers and staff engaged in various projects, Minister Naqvi outlined stringent Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aimed at ensuring their protection.
He stressed the creation of a specialized Security Protection Unit (SPU) dedicated to foreign nationals, underscoring Pakistan's proactive stance in safeguarding its international partners.
"The safety and well-being of our Chinese brethren involved in Pakistan's development are our topmost priority," Minister Naqvi affirmed, asserting that no effort will be spared to prevent any harm to Chinese nationals. He reiterated Pakistan's unwavering commitment to the enduring friendship with China, dismissing any attempts to undermine this bond.
Ambassador Jiang Zedong expressed satisfaction with Pakistan's proactive security arrangements, affirming China's unwavering commitment to its "all-weather" friendship with Pakistan. He underscored the significance of bilateral relations and mutual cooperation in various sectors.
Federal Secretary Interior Khurram Ali Agha and senior officials from the Chinese Embassy also participated in the meeting, reflecting the shared commitment to enhancing security measures and strengthening diplomatic ties between Pakistan and China.
