Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Friday, in line with an increase in the international rate. In the local market, the gold price per tola stood at Rs242,900, after a single-day gain of Rs1,600.
According to rates shared by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the 10-gram gold was sold at Rs208,248 after it registered an increase of Rs1,372.
On Thursday, the gold price per tola in Pakistan remained unaltered at Rs241,300.
These movements are closely linked to changes in the value of the US Dollar, indicating the close relationship between currency values and gold prices. This underscores the impact of global economic factors on local gold markets.

The international gold rate increased on Friday, and was set at $2,363 per ounce after it gained a massive $28 during the day.
Silver prices remained stable at Rs2,750 per tola.
On Thursday, the 10 grams of 24-karat gold was available for Rs206,876 after witnessing a stability in its price. Furthermore, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also displayed a similar trend and was available at Rs189,636.
The price of 24-karat silver remained stable at Rs2,750. Internationally, however, the gold price witnessed a rising trend of $3 and was available at $2,335 per ounce.
