US Ambassador Donald Blome on Friday visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was welcomed by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
This visit followed the passage of a resolution in the National Assembly against a recent resolution by the US House of Representatives during the National Economic Budget 2024-25 session.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson confirmed that Ambassador Blome and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar discussed various aspects of bilateral relations. The discussions included a review of the current situation and progress in mutual cooperation.
The spokesperson further noted that both leaders explored avenues to enhance and strengthen bilateral ties.
According to sources, the meeting also addressed concerns over the recent resolution passed by the US Congress, expressing reservations and seeking a constructive path forward in US-Pakistan relations.
