Pakistan's journey will kick off with two warm-up matches with the first against New Zealand scheduled for September 29 and the second against Australia on October 3. Both games will be played in Hyderabad.
But what happened when Baba(u)r last visited India?
Amid the excitement of Babar Azam's maiden visit to India, we also took to ChatGPT like some fans to ask what happened when Baba(u)r last entered India.
In reality, the cricketer has never been there before, but there was another Baba(u)r who did.
Even though Babar Azam's visit to India may not be as important as the visit of his historical namesake, it is still a big event for cricket fans on both sides of the border.
He is one of the most talented batter in the world today, and his fans are eager to see him perform well in India.
"I'm not aware of any specific event involving Babar entering India in recent history. However, it's possible that you may be referring to the historical figure Babur (Babur the Tiger), who was the founder of the Mughal Empire in India. Babur, a descendant of Genghis Khan and Tamerlane, invaded India in the early 16th century.
Babur's most significant invasion of India occurred in 1526 when he, along with his Mughal army, defeated Ibrahim Lodhi, the Sultan of Delhi, at the First Battle of Panipat. This battle marked the beginning of Mughal rule in India. Babur's descendants went on to establish one of the most influential and powerful empires in the Indian subcontinent, known as the Mughal Empire, which lasted for several centuries."
We all knew it .. or at least those who have read history in school, right!
However, Pakistani cricket fans are hoping that this Babar (Babar Azam) will repeat the history of that Babur but in a different way.
They want him to conquer India by winning the World Cup on Indian soil.
