Gold prices in Pakistan saw an uptick for the second consecutive session on Thursday, mirroring the rise in international markets.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of gold per tola surged by Rs1,000, bringing it to Rs243,300.
The price of 10-gram gold also experienced an upward trend, rising by Rs857 to reach Rs208,590. This follows a previous increase on Wednesday, when the per tola price rose by Rs800.
The international gold market also showed gains on Thursday. According to APGJSA, the global rate stood at $2,355 per ounce, which included a $20 premium, marking a $10 increase during the trading day.
In contrast, silver prices in the local market remained stable at Rs2,850 per tola, showing no change from the previous rates.
Market analysts attribute the rise in gold prices to various factors, including fluctuations in the international market, currency exchange rates, and economic conditions. The continued increase in gold prices may influence investment decisions and consumer behavior in the coming days.
