Gold prices in Pakistan saw an uptick for the third consecutive session on Friday, mirroring the rise in international markets.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association reported that the price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs1,100, bringing it to Rs244,000.
The price of 10-gram 24-karat gold also experienced an upward trend, rising by Rs944 to reach Rs209,534. This follows a previous increase on Thursday, when the per tola price rose by Rs857.
The price of 10 grammes of 22-karat gold on Friday remained Rs192,072.

The international gold market also showed gains on Friday. According to APGJSA, the global rate stood at $2,364 per ounce, marking a $9 increase during the trading day.
In contrast, silver prices in the local market remained stable at Rs2,850 per tola, showing no change from the previous rates.
Market analysts attribute the rise in gold prices to various factors, including fluctuations in the international market, currency exchange rates, and economic conditions. The continued increase in gold prices may influence investment decisions and consumer behavior in the coming days.
