Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi transferred from Adiala Jail Rawalpindi to Lahore Monday.
The former foreign minister will be produced in the court of Lahore in the cases registered on May 9 incidents.
Lahore Police took Shah Mehmood Qureshi from Adiala early in the morning and left for Lahore.
Special security arrangements were made on this occasion.
Sources claimed Shah Mehmood Qureshi will be produced in the Anti-Terrorism Court Lahore as Joint Investigation Team of Lahore Police was investigating the former foreign minister in Adiala Jail regarding the May 9 riots incidents.
Qureshi's lawyer, Barrister Taimur Malik, said that the judges of the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court would hear the May 9 cases in Kot Lakhpat Jail today (Monday).
Shah Mehmood to be inducted on July 15
A court proceedings against Shah Mehmood Qureshi and others occurred on Monday wherein Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) distributed the copies of the challan to Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
The court summoned all the accused including Shah Mehmood Qureshi and others on July 15 for indictment and now accused will be charged on the next hearing.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi was presented in Kot Lakhpat Jail after he was shifted from the Adiala jail Rawalpindi on Monday.
Anti-terrorism court judges conducted prison trials of May 9 cases.
