In recent years, rising inflation has made it increasingly challenging for Pakistan's middle class to afford vehicles, including motorcycles.
The Honda 125 remains a popular choice, but many riders, especially the youth, seek durable and stylish options like the Suzuki GR 150 or Yamaha YBR. However, the skyrocketing prices of these models have made them less accessible.
Motorcycle companies are also feeling the impact of reduced customer numbers. To combat this, they are offering unique discount deals to attract buyers. Following Honda Atlas, Suzuki has introduced a significant offer for its Pakistani customers.
Suzuki GR 150 offer
On July 10, Suzuki announced a new discount offer via a Facebook post. This offer is for the Suzuki GR 150, allowing customers to purchase the motorcycle in 24 easy installments with zero markup and a 25% down payment. Suzuki encourages interested buyers to visit their showrooms or website for more information.
Price and payment details
The Suzuki GR 150 is one of the most expensive motorcycles in Pakistan, priced at PKR 547,000. With the new offer, customers can pay a monthly installment of PKR 22,790. Despite the attractive installment plan, the high overall price remains a hurdle for many.
Reasons behind price hikes
The prices of Suzuki motorcycles have increased, though the company has not specified the reasons. It is believed that import-related issues, costly raw materials, and the depreciation of the rupee are significant factors contributing to the price hike.
As the economic situation remains challenging, offers like Suzuki's installment plan provide some relief to potential buyers. However, the high cost of motorcycles continues to strain the budgets of many Pakistani families, making vehicle ownership a difficult dream to realize.
