The supreme electoral body said strongly condemned continuous criticism of the Chief Election Commissioner and members by a political party. The ECP did not name the political name.
The ECP rejected the continuous unwarranted criticism by a political party and also rejected the demand for resignation from the ECP and termed it as ‘absurd’.
The statement stated that ECP will continue to work by the Constitution and the law regardless of any pressure.
ECP did not misinterpret any SC verdict
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has not misinterpreted any decision and ECP did not declare PTI's intra-party election as valid, statement as various forums upheld the decision of the ECP.

ECP said that 41 members who were declared independent did not show their affiliation with PTI in their nomination papers and none of those lawmakers submitted their affiliation with party ticket.
“This is the reason why the ROs allowed him to contest the election as an independent. Within three days of winning the elections, MNAs voluntarily joined the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC),” the ECP declaration reads.
Sunni Ittehad Council filed an appeal Supreme Court against the decision of the ECP and Peshawar High Court (PHC).
The appeal of the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) was rejected by the Supreme Court. “PTI was not a party in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) nor in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) and even in the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) in reserved seats case.
