American Ambassador Donald Blome recently met with Federal Minister for Investment Board, Communications, and Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan to explore investment opportunities in the country.
The meeting, held in Islamabad, highlighted a mutual interest in strengthening economic ties and attracting American business groups to Pakistan.
During the discussion, the minister emphasized that despite the challenges faced by Pakistan’s economy, there are significant opportunities for investment. He assured Ambassador Blome of the government’s commitment to facilitating and supporting potential investments.
He also noted the substantial contribution of Pakistanis living in the United States, which plays a crucial role in the country’s foreign exchange reserves.
Abdul Aleem Khan expressed a desire to focus on enhancing infrastructure, particularly highways and motorways, to improve connectivity and support economic growth.
Both the minister and the ambassador expressed goodwill and a shared interest in fostering stronger bilateral economic relations.
