The Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) on Friday called off sit-in at Faizabad after reaching an agreement with the government.
The announcement of the successful negotiations was made during a press conference by Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah, Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, and TLP leaders.
The agreement, signed by Political Affairs Adviser Rana Sanaullah and Information Minister Ataullah Tarar for the government, and Dr. Shafiq Amini and Allama Ghulam Abbas Faizi for TLP, outlines several key commitments.
Under the new agreement, Pakistan will officially designate the Israeli president as a terrorist and urge the international community to do the same.
The agreement also calls for immediate international action to address the atrocities in Palestine. In response, the Pakistani government has pledged to send 1,000 tons of food and medical aid to Palestine by July 31.
Furthermore, the aid will continue without interruption, and TLP representatives will accompany the aid shipments to Gaza. Pakistan will also offer complete medical assistance to seriously injured individuals from Gaza.
Additionally, the government has committed to avoiding the use of products and services from companies supporting Israel at the official level. Efforts will also be intensified to secure the release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, a prominent figure in Pakistan’s advocacy efforts.
