In response to the recent attack on the Pakistani consulate in Germany and the subsequent desecration of the national flag, the federal cabinet has initiated the "Hurmat-e-Parcham" campaign.
On Thursday, federal ministers, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Leghari, Minister for Privatisation Abdul Aleem Khan, Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer, and Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, actively participated in the campaign.
They shared images of themselves with the Pakistani flag across social media platforms, accompanied by national pride and solidarity messages.
Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar's post read, "Chand Roshan Chamakta Sitara Rahey, Sab Se Oncha Yeh Jhanda Hamara Rahey," emphasizing the flag's significance as a symbol of resilience against adversaries.
Other ministers, including Dr Musadik Malik, Ali Pervaiz Malik, and Jam Kamal Khan, also joined the campaign, endorsing the message "Pakistan Zindabad."
Tarar called on various segments of society, including political activists, journalists, intellectuals, educators, and the youth, to participate in the "Hurmat-e-Parcham" campaign.
He highlighted the flag as a representation of Pakistan's national identity and sovereignty, rallying the nation’s collective spirit as the country approaches Independence Day in August.
