A peculiar group of thieves has been making headlines for their unusual method of theft, leaving citizens both alarmed and bemused in India’s Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
According to media reports, this gang breaks into houses not just to steal valuables but to first head to the kitchen, prepare fritters, and enjoy a meal before resuming their criminal activities.
In one such incident in Sector 25, the thieves prepared and ate fritters before making off with jewelry worth INR 300,000.
This pattern has been repeated in multiple homes, where the thieves also chewed betel leaves and left spit marks in the bathrooms, adding to the homeowners’ frustration and disgust.
The police report that this gang has successfully robbed six houses in a single day, each time following the same peculiar routine. In response, a special task force has been established to apprehend these thieves and bring them to justice.
Efforts are underway to capture the gang and put an end to their bizarre and unsettling crime spree. This case highlights the unusual challenges law enforcement faces in tackling innovative criminal tactics.
