Pakistani cricketer Iftikhar Ahmed has received a proposal from an Indian girl which is making rounds on social media platforms.
The ICC Cricket World Cup is set to begin in India on October 5. In the meantime, teams are playing their warm-up matches.
Pakistan played its first warm-up match against New Zealand and lost it.
The Pakistani team will play its first World Cup match on October 6 against the Netherlands.
In India, there is a huge fan following for the national cricketers including Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Mohammad Rizwan.
But, an Indian girl from Punjab has fallen in love with Pakistani cricketer Iftikhar Ahmed. The clip of her proposal is going viral on social media.
Iftikhar Ahmed is often called "Chachu" by his fans and teammates which is a term of endearment that is used in many South Asian cultures to refer to an older male.
The Indian girl lives in Dubai and belongs to the state of Punjab. She has expressed her desire to marry the Pakistani all-rounder.
In an interview, when asked about her favourite sportsman in the Pakistani team, the Indian girl named Iftikhar Ahmed without hesitation.
The girl also said that he is "uncle" for the world, but he is 'love' for her.
