The adjustable advance tax table under the trader-friendly scheme has been announced, detailing the monthly tax obligations for traders across different areas.
A monthly tax of 5,000 rupees has been imposed in 78% of the areas. In 14% of the areas, the tax is set at Rs10,000. Traders in 5 percent of the areas will be required to pay Rs20,000 monthly.
A monthly tax of Rs30,000 will be applicable in 2 percent of the areas. In 0.6% of the areas, the tax is Rs45,000. The highest monthly advance tax, Rs60,000, will be applicable in 0.32% of the areas.
Additionally, traders can avail a 25% discount on lump sum tax payments made to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBRK).
Traders who have objections regarding excess tax are advised to submit their concerns to the Chief Coordinator of the Trader-Friendly Scheme.
Urdu bazaar traders announce strike on August 7th
The traders of Lahore’s Urdu Bazaar announced a complete strike on Wednesday (tomorrow) terming the tax on stationery as unacceptable.
“Heavy electricity bills and fixed taxes are unacceptable,” Anjuman Tajran of Urdu Bazar told media persons.
The traders of Urdu Bazaar are very worried about the rents and inflation of the shops.
