Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Haji Imtiaz Ahmed, who had previously escaped from anti-corruption custody, has been re-arrested.
The MNA was apprehended by authorities at Multan airport while attempting to flee to Qatar.
A few days ago, Haji Imtiaz Ahmed was freed from the custody of the anti-corruption team in Gujranwala after an armed attack on the team. The daring escape had raised concerns and intensified efforts to recapture him.
Haji Imtiaz Ahmed was initially detained by the Anti-Corruption Establishment authorities on charges of corruption. A few days ago, he escaped from custody after the anti-corruption team was attacked with gunfire.
Haji Imtiaz was under the custody of anti-corruption Gujranwala on charges of corruption.
