On August 8, a crucial road near the Hasukhel area of Mir Ali in North Waziristan was severely damaged by an attack orchestrated by Fitnatul Khawarij in broad daylight.
The destruction has caused significant difficulties for the local population, impacting daily life and transportation.
Reports suggest that the terrorists may have emerged from nearby villages to execute the attack and then returned to hide. Despite assurances from tribal elders of North Waziristan to prevent such actions and promptly report any terrorist activities to the Pakistan Army, the incident was not reported in time.
This lapse allowed the Fitnatul Khawarij to destroy a road built at considerable expense, exacerbating the challenges faced by the community.
In response, a jirga of tribal elders convened on August 9, to address the situation. The jirga, a traditional assembly of tribal leaders, discussed measures to repair the damaged road. Local residents have initiated repair work on the road following the jirga's deliberations.
Additionally, the local population has authorized the Pakistan Army to conduct operations in the area if the situation does not improve.
Amidst these developments, PTM miscreants have propagated unfounded allegations on social media, accusing the Pakistan Army of forcibly evicting Mir Ali residents without verification. In response, the Pakistan Army has emphasized its commitment to preserving peace in North Waziristan and has warned that any attempts to disrupt development projects will be met with a strong reaction.
The Pakistan Army has reaffirmed its support from the local community and pledged to continue its efforts against the Fitnatul Khawarij until peace and stability are fully restored in the region.
