The official delivery times for passports in have been modified once again. The Director General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) recently issued a notification outlining the revised passport delivery schedules.
For regular passport applications, the delivery time has been extended to a maximum of 21 working days, compared to the previous 10-day timeframe.
Urgent passport applications will now take 5 days for delivery, a slight adjustment from the previous 4 days.
Notably, the delivery time for fast-track passport applications remains unchanged, with passports being delivered within 2 days as per the previous schedule.
To streamline the process and better serve citizens, the DGIP has emphasized the importance of adhering to designated office hours.
Passport offices throughout the country will be open from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm from Monday to Thursday and from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Fridays.
Applicants can use the Pakistan Citizen Portal to register any complaints in case of inconvenience.
Additionally, they can seek further assistance and information by contacting the DGIP helpline at 051-111-344-777.
It's worth noting that in April of this year, the delivery times for all three passport categories—normal, urgent, and fast-track—were reduced to 10 days, 4 days, and 2 days, respectively.
