The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has announced the discovery of new gas reserves in Punjab, providing a significant boost to the country’s economy.
According to an OGDCL spokesperson, these reserves have been uncovered in the Mari East Block, specifically in Chak 1-202, located in Rahim Yar Khan district.
The newly discovered reserves are expected to produce 6.15 million cubic feet of gas per day. This marks OGDCL’s second consecutive success in identifying gas reserves this month, further strengthening the nation’s energy resources.
The spokesperson emphasized that this discovery will help bridge the gap between domestic gas supply and demand, underscoring OGDCL's commitment to enhancing Pakistan's energy sector.
