Three days after the Karachi Board of Secondary Education announced the matriculations results 2023, now several irregularities have been reported in the pattern of last year.
This year too, like 2022, hundreds of thousands of students were given the same marks.
Thousands of numbers of students got exactly the same numbers under the ‘formula’.
Golden numbers 999 and 888 were introduced by high paying students for the first time.
As per marks sheet, 407 students will be given 999 marks and 885 students will be given 888 marks while 839 students were given 901 marks, 907 students were given 877 marks and 912 students were given 905 marks.
According to Karachi board formula, 904 numbers were given to 912 students and 880 numbers were given to 894 students.
Investigations launched
The Karachi matriculation board administration has decided to investigate those who changed the results.
Karachi Secondary Board acting director of exams refuted the claims that maintained it is not possible to change the results and insisted exams were transparent.
“We will go to the depth of the matter, if anyone is involved, we will take action,” vowed Imran Tariq.
The investigation report will be submitted to the higher authorities, says deputy controller of examinations.
