The law enforcement agencies have detained six more employees of Adiala Jail for allegedly facilitating and acting as messengers for former prime minister Imran Khan in the Rawalpindi prison against rules.
According to sources, the jail employees taken into custody included two women, including a sweeper and warden, as well as CCTV camera personnel, and are being questioned.
Sources say that the mobile phones used by the detained employees have also been confiscated, while the women staff of the jail was involved in facilitating PTI Founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi.
The six additional staffers have been taken into custody on the basis of investigation from the already arrested Superintendent of Jail Muhammad Akram, Assistant Superintendent Bilal and Nazim Shah.

It should be noted that since August 14, 13 people, including the deputy superintendent and two assistant superintendents, have been detained on charges of facilitating Imran Khan unlawfully.
On August 16, a former deputy superintendent and a jail assistant from Adiala were detained on charges of facilitating Imran Khan during his imprisonment. The authorities also launched an investigation into the involvement of several other jail employees, deepening the inquiry into the alleged misuse of power within the prison.
Sources revealed that former deputy superintendent Zafar and jail assistant Nazim were among those apprehended for providing unauthorized privileges to the former prime minister during his incarceration. The detained former deputy superintendent reportedly resides near Adiala Jail.

Meanwhile, investigation was underway with six employees on the information provided by another former deputy superintendent, Muhammad Akram, who had served in Adiala Jail for 15 years at various intervals and was removed from his post in June. These six employees were said to be closely associated with Akram.
Akram is alleged to have close ties with Imran Khan and is suspected of enabling illegal communications. The investigation is said to be making positive progress, with authorities uncovering the extent of the mobile phone access provided to Khan in violation of prison regulations.
