The Punjab government has pledged to launch a swift and decisive crackdown on bandits following the brutal attack on police vehicles in Rahim Yar Khan’s Kacha Machhka area.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, in a telephonic conversation with the Home Secretary, emphasized the need for a strong response. She directed the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab to lead the operation against the robbers.
Maryam Nawaz has instructed the Home Secretary to oversee the operation and coordinate with the Sindh government for support.
The Chief Minister stressed the importance of utilising all available resources to restore the state's authority in the region and ensure that the criminals are brought to justice.

The Kacha area, located along the Punjab-Sindh border, is a challenging terrain characterized by dense forests, sand dunes, and rocky outcrops, making it difficult to navigate.
Recently, the Punjab government decided to acquire advanced drones capable of carrying weapons for enhanced surveillance and operational efficiency in such difficult terrains.
