The fifth spell of monsoon continues to affect Karachi, with intermittent rain causing disruptions across the city.
According to Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz, the current weather system responsible for the rainfall is located approximately 320 kilometers from Karachi.
Sarfraz indicated that more rain is expected in the city today, along with strong winds, raising concerns about potential urban flooding. He urged citizens to exercise caution during this period. The ongoing rain spell is anticipated to persist until August 31.
The weather system, driven by a deep depression, initially impacted the Sindh borders before making its way to Karachi. Throughout the night, light rain was reported across the city, leading to water accumulation on various roads.
Despite the challenges, the heavy rainfall has also brought some relief from the usual heat, with temperatures dropping to a more comfortable 27 degrees Celsius and winds blowing at a speed of six kilometers per hour.
