Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant rise once again on Saturday, with the rate per tola increasing by Rs1,000, closing at a record Rs262,500, despite a fall in rates in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also witnessed an increase of Rs857, taking it up to Rs225,051.
On the other hand, the global gold market saw a downward trend on Saturday. The international price of gold fell to $2,503 per ounce after a $13 decrease during the trading day, as reported by the APGJSA.

Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market remained stable, with no change from the previous rates, holding at Rs2,950 per tola.
The fluctuating gold prices in the local market continue to be influenced by the ongoing dynamics of the international market, coupled with domestic factors, including currency exchange rates and demand within the country.
