Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder and former prime minister Imran Khan made a series of sharp remarks against the current government during an informal conversation with journalists at Adiala Jail, where he is currently being held, on Friday.
Imran Khan criticized the rulers, accusing them of self-serving legislation and congratulating them sarcastically for what he termed as "NRO 2" -- a reference to the controversial amnesty deal National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
He lamented that while tackling white-collar crime was already challenging, it has now become nearly impossible due to the recent Supreme Court verdict.
"These are all cases from their own era, so they have enacted this NRO 2," he alleged, referring to the government's attempts to clear corruption cases through legal amendments.

The former prime minister expressed disbelief that representatives of the people could use their legislative power to dismiss corruption cases against themselves. "This has never happened anywhere in the world where lawmakers eliminate their corruption cases through legislation," he remarked.
The PTI leader also revealed that he is being pressured over the trial of former ISI chief General Faiz Hameed, suggesting that threats are being made against him.

He addressed internal party issues as well, defending Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. "Some party members are undermining Ali Amin Gandapur by critising him, but I want to make it clear -- I chose Ali Amin, and I stand with him," Imran Khan declared.
He warned those within the party who are conspiring against his decisions, reminding them that they won their seats not by personal investment but on PTI tickets. "To those conspiring, remember this: don't say I didn't warn you. I won't grant you a ticket in the future," he cautioned.
