Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Shazia Marri on Wednesday stressed the need for embracing the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in a bid to steer the country towards prosperity.
According to details, Marri lavished her praise on the founder of Pakistan on the occasion of Jinnah's 76th birthday. "Credit goes to Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah that we are an independent nation and our entity exists in the world."
She said: "Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah had put all-out efforts to lay the foundations of the country."
"There is a need to follow the ideology and footsteps of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in a bid to establish the country as an exemplary state," the PPP stalwart said.
– Country capable of ending menace of terrorism –
Few days back, PPP senior leader Sherry Rehman said that the country is capable of ending the menace of terrorism.
Expressing her thoughts during the Senate session, Sherry said: "The scenario of Balochistan is always different. Whatever is happening in Balochistan is a rebellion against the country."
Sherry hailed the party leadership, saying, "The PPP has sacrificed itself following the martyrdom of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, but not compromised on the national interests."
Speaking about the National Action Plan (NAP), saying, "Everybody agrees over the NAP. Who are the terrorists and activists, We are seeing everything."
"Pakistan is a responsible nuclear country," she said.
