Awam Pakistan Party (APP) convener Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday labelled the National Acountability Bureau (NAB) as the most corrupt institution of the country.
Expressing his thoughts, Abbasi reiterated the reason that led his split from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). "It was difficult to stand with the PML-N after the party had decided against the slogan of Vote Ko Izzat Do," he added.
He launched a broadside at the NAB, saying, "The NAB had only sentenced one politician, Nawaz Sharif, in 25 years. Nawaz Sharif was sentenced in the suspected case.".
Abbasi stressed the need for the political unity, saying, "Today the solution to all the problems is consensus. The stakeholders should sit one table and address the myriad problems."
Speaking about the hybrid system, Abbasi said: "The hybrid system is a violation of the constitution. There is now a need to bring the uniform system in the country."
