Several Pakistan World Cup 2023 squad players including skipper Babar Azam have shared their verdict on Hyderabadi Biryani versus Karachi Biryani.
The squad landed in Indian last week for the World Cup 2023 and played two warm-up games against New Zealand and Australia in Hyderabad.
The Pakistan team enjoyed a dinner in Hyderabad where they were treated to a variety of cuisines.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a video on their Instagram handle of the Pakistan players sharing their experience of the Hyderabad Biryani and how it compares with the one back home in Karachi.
Biryani is a dish that has been enjoyed for centuries in the Indian subcontinent, and it is something that is loved equally by people from all walks of life in India and Pakistan.
While Captain Babar Azam felt both versions of biryanis tasted equally delicious, he found the Hyderabadi one to be a bit spicier.
Pacer Hasan Ali bluntly stated the Hyderabadi biryani to be better than the one from back home in Karachi.
Teammates Imam ul Haq and Haris Rauf did not pick one over the other, but they both rated the Hyderabad version highly.
