On September 15, 1965, the 15th day of the war, Pakistani forces successfully repelled another Indian attack in the Sialkot sector, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy. India's 1 Corps had planned to capture positions at Badiana, Chawinda, and Zafarwal, but faced strong resistance from Pakistani troops, forcing a change in plans that ultimately failed.
In the Pasroor area, Pakistani artillery fire destroyed four tanks of India's 16 Cavalry at Hasri Nala. The Pakistan Air Force conducted a major operation, with 8 Sabre fighter jets bombing Indian positions, compelling Indian forces to retreat from Hasri Nala.
Pakistani forces also captured the Bhati outpost in the Gadro sector, with the enemy reportedly abandoning their weapons and equipment while fleeing. In the Rajouri sector, a Mujahideen attack resulted in 21 Indian soldiers killed and several wounded.
The Pakistan Navy prepared the submarine Ghazi for return to sea after routine repairs. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Air Force targeted key objectives in Srinagar, Adampur, Jodhpur, Halwara, and Pathankot, and shot down an Indian Canberra bomber.
Across various sectors including Sialkot, Jammu, Wagah, Attari, and Gadro, Pakistani forces claimed to have destroyed 22 Indian tanks, 51 vehicles, and multiple gun positions.
In Rawalpindi, women volunteered to care for the wounded in hospitals, while many former soldiers offered their services to the Pakistani armed forces.
