Karachi Police has announced a comprehensive security plan for the main procession of the 12th of Rabi Awal.
According to the police spokesperson, a total of 4,332 officers and personnel will be deployed along the procession routes to ensure safety and order.
At Nishtar Park, where the main events will take place, around 450 officers and staff from the Karachi Police will be on duty. A fleet of 160 police vehicles, including 70 motorcycles and 76 mobile units, will patrol the city to maintain security.
Karachi Police Special Security Unit (SSU) teams will be on standby and ready to respond if required. To minimize disruption, alternative traffic routes have also been arranged for the day of the procession.
The police top brass urged citizens to cooperate with security personnel to ensure the smooth conduct of the day.
