Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said on Wednesday that Pakistan has taken all necessary steps to ensure effective border management with Iran.
According to details, Iranian Ambassador Dr Reza Amiri Moghadam called on Asif in Islamabad. On this occasion, the matters pertaining to bilateral relations, the regional situation, and mutual interests were underlined.
Both the leaders had expressed satisfaction over the current situation in terms of ties between the two countries.
The leaders resolved to further boost the cooperation in the areas of mutual interests.
Asif called for making collective efforts to ensure border management between Pakistan and Iran.
– Khawaja Asif pays glowing tribute to martyrs –
Few days back, Asif had paid glowing tribute to the martyrs on the occasion of the 59th Defence Day.
Expressing his thoughts on occasion of September 6, Asif said: "It is due to the great sacrifices of the martyrs that the country has become invincible."
"The enemies are supporting the terrorism from across the border," Asif lamented.
He maintained: "We will protect every nook and cranny of the country."
