A video has been circulating on social media with hashtag #Shehbazsharif, in which it can be seen that a bunch of people, mostly ‘youngsters’, have surrounded the vehicle of former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif and chanted objectionable slogans.
SAMAA Digital carried out a fact-check using verification tools to determine if the video was recent and/or genuine.

Former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif asserted on Wednesday that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s ouster halted the country’s growth.
Addressing the party workers in NA-132 in Lahore, the PML-N president underscored the importance of the country’s youth. ‘’The youth have always expressed their confidence in the PML-N.’’
He lavished praise on Nawaz Sharif, saying, ‘’Nawaz Sharif has always served the masses with great enthusiasm. Nawaz Sharif has taken the country out of the darkness by addressing the problems in line with the power outage and unemployment.’’
Who were the protesters?
The residents of old Kahna protested in front of former premier Shehbaz Sharif, against the closure of the sewage line from Rohi Nala.
Shehbaz Sharif family sources told SAMAA TV that Shehbaz Sharif immediately met with local leaders and protestors and assured the protesters their issue would be resolved. Shahbaz Sharif assured the local people of immediate work.
