A tragic bomb blast at the city police station in Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has left a child dead and 25 others injured.
According to police officials, the explosion was caused by a short circuit in the arms warehouse, which led to the collapse of nearby barracks, trapping several individuals under the rubble.
Emergency services quickly launched a rescue operation to free those trapped, while nearby hospitals declared emergencies to accommodate the influx of injured victims.
The health department confirmed that all necessary medical treatment is being provided to the injured, though the condition of two individuals remains critical.
Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has instructed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Chief Secretary to rush to the site of the blast.
He emphasized the need to determine the nature of the explosion and called for a detailed report. The Chief Minister also ordered that timely medical assistance be given to all affected individuals.
