Dow University of Health Sciences has announced the official results of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) conducted in Karachi.
A total of 38,041 candidates from various parts of Sindh participated in the test, which was organized by Dow University. Of these, 22,366 candidates were declared successful, bringing the overall success rate to 58.79%.
In both the Ojha Campus Cricket Ground and NED University test centres, 12,572 candidates participated in the exam. Among them, 6,947 candidates were eligible for admission into the MBBS program, while 7,941 candidates became eligible for BDS admissions.

The MDCAT test was held simultaneously at multiple venues across Sindh. These included NED University and Ojha Campus in Karachi, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences in Jamshoro, Bilawal Sports Complex in Shaheed Benazirabad, the Police Training School in Larkana, and the IBA Public School in Sukkur.

On September 28, Lahore's University of Health Sciences (UHS) announced the results of the MDCAT 2024. A total of 56,519 candidates participated in the exam from Punjab, which was held on September 22.
According to the UHS, 48,051 candidates successfully secured more than 55% marks, meeting the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) criteria for admission to medical colleges. Additionally, 51,018 candidates scored over 50%, which is the minimum requirement for admission to dental colleges.
The top score of the exam was an impressive 99.50%, with the first position jointly shared by two students: Zainab Munir and Iqra, who both secured 199 marks out of a possible 200.
