The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) registered on Thursday the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP).
The electoral watchdog had issued a notification of the IPP’s registration. On the occasion, IPP Spokesperson Firdous Ashiq Awan said: ‘’On the ballot paper, the IPP’s name and eagle’s symbol will be published’’.
‘’It is a matter of great delight that the IPP has been registered by the electoral watchdog. The dedication and hard work of IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan and patron-in-chief Jahangir Khan Tareen have reaped benefits for the party,’’ Awan said.
She said that the party will now join the masses in a legal capacity, adding that the public campaign will also speed up with the completion of the registration process.
‘’It is a matter of immense happiness and joy that the IPP has been registered on the occasion of the birthday of Abdul Aleem Khan,’’ she maintained.

Awan stated: ‘’The IPP is gearing up for the power show in Jhang on October 13, with the great news of the party’s registration. Following the completion of the legal requirements, the IPP will be further mobilised.’’
– IPP believes in democracy –
Few days back, Awan said that her party believes in democracy.
Addressing a press conference, Ms Awan said, "It is at the top of our priorities to address the masses’ problems."
Speaking about the flood-hit people, Ms Awan said: "IPP patron-in-chief Jahangir Khan Tareen has extended his support to the flood-stricken people. The IPP will continue to stand by the flood-hit people."
Meanwhile, expressing his thoughts following the party’s CEC meeting, IPP leader Ishaq Khakwani said: "The general elections should be held after the delimitations. Our party represents the masses’ expectations in the real context."
