After a constant decline, the gold prices in Pakistan shot back up on Wednesday, in line with international market trends.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs600, taking it back up to Rs275,500. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold saw a hike of Rs515, settling at Rs236,197.

In the international market also, gold rates shot up. As per APGJSA, the global rate was recorded at $2,653 per ounce, marking a substantial gain of $6 on the day.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market remained stable at Rs3,050 per tola.
