Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi said on Sunday that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is not in the custody of any institution, including the police.
Expressing his thoughts, Naqvi said: "However, if Ali Amin Gandapur is within the jurisdiction of Islamabad, he will be arrested. Islamabad police are actively searching for Ali Amin Gandapur. Raids have been conducted at various locations where his presence was suspected."
Naqvi added, "Checkpoints have also been set up to capture him. If he is found within the limits of Islamabad, he will be taken into custody."
Images of Ali Amin Gandapur allegedly leaving the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House have surfaced, showing him in a different outfit accompanied by officials. He was reportedly dressed in a black shalwar kameez when entering the KP House.
The "disappearance" of Ali Amin Gandapur had led to conflicting reports, with some sources denying his arrest. In response, PTI Peshawar had announced a protest outside the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly at 3 PM today.

Separately, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa opposition leader Dr Ibadullah on Sunday scoffed at Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur over "disappearance."
Expressing his thoughts, Ibadullah said: "This is not the first time that CM Gandapur has disappeared. This drama of disappearance is still underway. Nobody knows where the KP CM is right now."
"Is this the job of the chief executive to give a threat to challenge the writ of the state? Ali Amin Gandapur has kept on eating cake and pastries by leaving his party workers alone," he said.
"What is the objective of summoning the KP Assembly session on the weekend?"
