Jamaat-e-Islami former emir Sirajul Haq on Monday made a passionate plea for global solidarity with Gaza.
During his speech at the National Palestine Conference, Haq highlighted the devastating toll of the Israeli bombardment on the besieged Palestinian enclave, stating that over 10,000 people remain buried under the rubble.
He said: "16,000 children were martyred in Gaza over the past year, with thousands of bombs dropped in just 365 days. "A small strip of land like Gaza has faced the horror of 80,000 tons of explosives."
Haq expressed his outrage over the continuous assaults on Palestinians.
He referred to the US as the "Great Satan" and called for a unified military response from all Islamic countries to defend Gaza. “It is time for the Muslim world to prepare armies to protect Gaza. Islamic nations must act now and stop the expansion of ‘Greater Israel,’” Haq declared.
