The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan has announced that consular services will be suspended from October 14 to 17 due to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.
This temporary halt in services is aimed at facilitating the smooth operation of the summit.
However, to ensure continued support for citizens, consular services will still be available at liaison offices in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Gujrat during this period.
Officials urge individuals requiring consular assistance to visit these liaison offices for necessary services.
Meanwhile, the government has announced three public holidays in Islamabad and Rawalpindi from October 14 to 16 in connection with the 23rd meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), set to take place in the capital.
The notification, issued by the Cabinet Division after receiving approval from the prime minister, confirms that both twin cities will observe these holidays to facilitate security arrangements and ensure smooth proceedings during the high-profile international event.
