A high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia is set to arrive in Pakistan this evening, with a packed schedule of engagements aimed at enhancing bilateral investment and cooperation.
Led by Saudi Investment Minister Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, the delegation's visit is expected to pave the way for major investment agreements between the two countries.
According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will host a special dinner in honour of the Saudi delegation tomorrow, which will be attended by key federal ministers at a private hotel. Ahead of the dinner, there will be preliminary talks, sector and business-to-business sessions tomorrow, sources said.
The preliminary talks will involve officials from key sectors, including the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Information Technology, Ministry of Food Security, Communications, and the Ministry of Petroleum. Representatives from the Ministry of Industries and Production and the Services sector will also be part of the discussions, focusing on areas of mutual interest.
Following these sessions, both nations are expected to sign multiple investment agreements, further strengthening economic ties.
On October 11, the delegation is scheduled to visit the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park, and meetings with Pakistan’s military leadership are also planned for the same day. Round table meetings with the Saudi delegation at the ministerial level are also scheduled for tomorrow, the sources added.
This visit is seen as a significant step towards deepening Saudi-Pakistan relations, with the potential for enhanced investment and collaborative ventures across a wide range of sectors.
