Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Irfan Siddiqui said on Monday that all political parties give proposals on the constitutional amendment with the exception of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Expressing his thoughts, Siddiqui said: “The rest of the parties had given the proposals to the special committee pertaining to the constitutional amendment.”
“The PTI has been given the time till October 17 to express its opinion in line with the constitutional amendment,” he said.
“The PTI leadership is waiting for Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s meetings with Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Nawaz Sharif,” Siddiqui said.
– Fazlur Rehman raised concerns over elections –
Few days back, Siddiqui said that the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had the raised the concerns over the elections.
Speaking to media following his meeting with Rehman, Siddiqui said: "The matter pertaining to the constitutional amendment and other matters were discussed during the meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman. Fazlur Rehman rallies behind the constitutional court."
"The image will be cleared within the next two weeks," he said.
Talking about the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Siddiqui said: "The PTI leaders should wait for few days."
Siddiqui asked the PTI, questioning, "Is it necessary to stage protests, especially when something good happens in the country?"
"It is better for the PTI to stop doing the exercising of staging the protests these days," Siddiqui stated.
