In a major anti-narcotics operation at Lahore Airport, authorities seized 28 capsules filled with ice (crystal meth) from the stomach of a passenger en route to Saudi Arabia.
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) also arrested two individuals attempting to smuggle over two and a half kilos of drugs to Dubai.
The raid was part of a broader nationwide crackdown, resulting in 11 arrests during nine operations. ANF recovered a total of 212 kilograms of drugs, including hashish and narcotic pills, from various locations across Pakistan. Notably, 20 kilograms of ice were recovered in Kasur, and 5 kilograms of opium were seized from suspects in Lahore.
In Islamabad, a suspect near a university confessed to selling drugs to students, while further investigations are underway. ANF has registered cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act against the arrested individuals, with investigations in full swing.
