Lahore's private college administration has officially requested the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to investigate an alleged rape case, expressing concerns about the suspicious role of two TikTok-using students.
After being reprimanded by the vice-principal for unauthorized video recording on campus, the administration claims that the students launched a social media campaign accusing the institution of wrongdoing.
In the application, the college management stated that the campaign, which started after October 12, quickly escalated, leading to protests in multiple cities. The college alleges that the viral campaign resulted in the spread of false information, damage to the institution’s reputation, and violent attacks on campus property.
The college further requested action against those responsible for false propaganda, protests, and vandalism. Although the victim's family has yet to be identified, the accused is reportedly in police custody. Authorities are also investigating targeted Instagram accounts linked to the campaign.
