Gold prices in Pakistan saw another massive increase on Friday, taking the price of gold above Rs280,000 per tola in the country. Globally also, gold per ounce crossed $2,700 for the first time.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold shot up by Rs3,000 per tola, taking it to Rs280,900 according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10-gram 24-karat gold also hiked by Rs2,572, now standing at Rs240,826.

Globally also, gold prices faced a rising trend, with rates upping by a massive $30 during the day. According to the APGJSA, the international gold price stood at $2,712 per ounce.
Silver market also saw a rising trend, with the price of silver hiking to Rs3,100 per tola after a Rs50 increase.
Last month, gold prices in Pakistan had surged to a record high of Rs277,000 per tola, as the precious metal saw significant gains due to international market fluctuations.
