A German pizza restaurant in Düsseldorf has been implicated in delivering cocaine alongside its popular dishes.
According to police, customers who ordered item number 40 on the menu received not just pizza but a side of the illicit drug. "That was one of the best-selling pizzas," stated criminal director Michael Graf von Moltke.
The investigation began after food inspectors tipped off the authorities in March. As drug squad officers monitored the establishment, they witnessed the restaurant manager throwing a bag of drugs from his apartment window, which "fell right into the arms of the police officers," Dusseldorf police reported. The exact pricing for this unusual "special order" remains unknown.
