Aleema Khan has said that PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur sought permission from her brother and PTI Founder Imran Khan regarding talks with the establishment.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi after meeting Imran Khan, Aleema said both PTI leaders also met the party founder and briefed him on preparations for the upcoming November 24 protest.
According to Aleema Khan, the PTI founder emphasized that political parties always kept their doors open for political dialogue. “Ideological individuals are currently imprisoned, including Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhry, and Mian Mahmoodur Rashid,” she quoted Imran Khan as saying, adding that Andleeb Abbas chose the easy way, while Dr Yasmin is still in jail.
"The PTI founder said an ideological worker always stands up for his right," Aleema conveyed.
She further quoted Imran Khan as underscoring the critical significance of November 24 for the nation, urging party workers and the public to rally behind the party’s ideology. “I called upon the nation only twice: once on February 8 and now again,” he is said to have stated.
Drawing a parallel, he encouraged his supporters to mobilise once more to defend the party’s ideology and ensure justice, Aleema stressed, telling the PTI workers that on February 8, they had become a very big ideological party.
"The second ideological election after 1970 was held on February 8," Aleema Khan stated, adding that ideological wars do not end quickly. "Peaceful protest is a constitutional right."
